City of Čačak is located in the valley of the river West Morava. The name of the journal Mathematica Moravica, derivatives from the name of this river.
University of Kragujevac was founded in 1976. The University incorporate 12 faculties in six towns of the Central Serbia region: Kragujevac, Čačak, Jagodina, Kraljevo, Užice and Vrnjačka Banja.
Faculty of Technical Sciences Čačak is a higher education and scientific research institution, established in 1975. The faculty is a member of University of Kragujevac. The mission of the Faculty is to educate future engineers in the field of Electrical and Computer engineering, Information technology, Management, Technics and Informatics, as well as to contribute to scientific research and development of the economy by transferring the acquired knowledge.
